Reminders & Notifications

A due date only helps if someone gets reminded of it. Tasks and projects both carry their own reminders, and everything lands in one notification feed.

How It Works

01

Set a due date

Any task with a due date is automatically eligible for a due-date reminder as the deadline approaches.

02

Get nudged if it slips

An overdue reminder follows if a task passes its due date without being completed.

03

Catch project-level deadlines too

Projects carry their own deadline reminders, independent of any single task inside them.

04

Check the notification feed

Mentions, assignments, and status changes all land in one place — read or unread, at a glance.

Why It Matters

Deadlines don't rely on someone remembering to check the board
Overdue reminders catch work that's slipped before it's forgotten entirely
Project-level reminders work even when no single task is individually late
One notification feed, not a separate alert system per feature

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I turn off reminders for a specific task?

Reminders follow whether a task has a due date — remove the due date to stop them.

Do notifications arrive by email or only in-app?

Notifications appear in the in-app notification feed, marked read or unread.

Do recurring tasks get reminders too?

Yes — each occurrence of a recurring task is treated the same as any other task with a due date.
