Kanban Boards
Every project starts with four sensible default columns — To Do, In Progress, Done, Blocked — and you can rename, reorder, or add your own whenever the default doesn't fit.
How It Works
Start with the defaults
Every new project opens with 4 default board columns, so there's nothing to configure before you can start adding tasks.
Customize the columns per project
Rename a column, reorder them, or add new ones — each project's board can look different from the next.
Drag tasks across the board
Move tasks between columns by dragging; position is saved so the board looks the same next time anyone opens it.
Why It Matters
Frequently Asked Questions
Do all projects have to use the same columns?
No — board columns are set per project, so a support-ticket board and a product-launch board can look completely different.
Is there a limit to how many columns I can add?
There's no hard limit — most teams find 4-6 columns keeps a board readable.
How is this different from a custom workflow?
Board columns track a task's status inside one project; a workflow tracks the project's own stage. See the Custom Workflows feature page for the distinction.
